Gabriele
Van Zon, PhD
Through her expertise on Pyramid Feng Shui, Dr. Gabriele
Van
Zon provides her clients and the media with cutting edge
information about the experience of place and its influence
on
human affairs.
With a Ph.D. in Literature – including a concentration in
Aesthetics - from the City University of New York (CUNY),
Dr. Van Zon is sensitive to the philosophy that connects
human
beings to nature, the expression of beauty, the laws of
perception, and the highlights of living experiences.
With the breadth and depth of Ms. Van Zon’s language
skills - in
English, German, French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish and
Mandarin
– she began her academic career in writing and teaching.
Two areas of particular interest to Van Zon is Feng Shui,
the
ancient art of Chinese placement and Chinese art forms,
including Mandarin, Chinese brush & ink painting,
Chinese
calligraphy, Tai Chi and Qi Gong. Van Zon has devoted the
equivalent of nineteen years to her Chinese art form
studies.
In 2000 Van Zon became a certified feng shui practitioner
from
the contemporary western school of feng shui, Pyramid Feng
Shui, developed by Nancilee Wydra, through the Feng Shui
Institute of America. In 2002, Dr. Van Zon founded Feng
Shui
Universal, a pyramid feng shui business that is based in
Florida
but spans the nation with mobile consultations and
teaching. Dr.
Van Zon travels to numerous assignments nationwide, while
serving her regular clientele in Florida, California,
Nevada and
Wisconsin.
Van Zon’s publications include “Word and
Picture--Aesthetics
in the Verbal and Visual Arts” (Peter Lange, publisher),
books in
English and German about Alfred Kubin and Fritz von
Herzmanovsky-Orlando, newspaper articles, and for five
years
she has published a Feng Shui newsletter and written
articles
pertaining to Feng Shui in publications such as Kirkwood
Times,
FSII Newsletter and Ponte Vedra Chamber Chat.
Van Zon has also carried her message about Feng Shui
through
numerous seminars, lectures, talk shows and teleseminars,
to
such organizations as:
A believer in life-long learning, Gabriele is currently
pursuing
Master Certification in Feng Shui. This certificate will
enhance
the quality and increase the level of the visual and verbal
arts
presentations that Van Zon delivers worldwide.
In addition to her academic accomplishment, her in-depth
expertise in Pyramid School of Feng Shui, Van Zon is
trained as
a model, an oral proficiency tester, and a licensed pilot.
Flying
remains a hobby, along with tennis, skiing, biking,
swimming and
other sports. She is a gourmet cook who enjoys traveling
and
art.
Dr. Van Zon volunteers and is a member of the docent corps
at
the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens in Jacksonville, where
she conducts tours and art projects for all ages from pre-K
to
adult.
